Make operational data easier to use

I built a visual analytics application that brought several operational views into one place. It helped people explore patterns and investigate questions without starting a new analysis for each one.

The work included preparing data, designing views, and connecting the measures to the decisions people needed to make.

I learned to treat the interface as part of the analysis. A useful chart needs clear definitions and enough context to keep a reader from drawing the wrong conclusion.
